Christian Fellowship’s Elijah Grigg scores 2,000th career point

Elijah Grigg was joined by his parents Bryan and Krista in the fourth quarter of Christian Fellowship’s game against Marshall County on Tuesday to celebrate his 2,000th career point.

Christian Fellowship junior Elijah Grigg hit a milestone few players will achieve. Grigg needed 24 points when he entered Tuesday’s game against Marshall County to reach a career 2,000 points. He did exactly what was needed with 25 points against the Marshals and reached the mark late in the fourth quarter.

The game was paused to recognize Grigg’s achievement and present him with a ball.

Coming into Tuesday’s game, Grigg was ranked 42nd in the state in scoring with an average of 21.2 points per game and ranked 20th in free throws at 85.2 percent. Grigg leads CFS with 301 points this season including a season-high 39 points against Fulton City on December 27.

Grigg has been a member of the Eagles varsity team since the seventh grade.
