Benton, KY – December 19, 2024
Bags of Love WKY is proud to accept a donation of 100 stuffed animals from Lubrizol’s Calvert City,
KY, location. Lubrizol employees made the stuffed animals from kits the company purchased for the project. Lubrizol chose Bags of Love WKY as the local charitable organization to support children in need, specifically foster children within Marshall County.
Bags of Love WKY is a 501c3 charity that has served disadvantaged children in Marshall County for almost two decades. The charity works in conjunction with social services and volunteers to provide a large cloth bag of toys, books, school supplies, a backpack, personal hygiene items, a homemade quilt, a stuffed animal, and more to every child who enters foster care in Marshall County, as well as those who have suffered a loss of housing/personal items due to a house fire or other unexpected life event.
Bags of Love WKY Executive Director/CFO, Alison Watson, MBA, made the following statement about the donation, “It is so heartwarming to have a local company reach out to help the children most in need within our community. The children who receive these stuffed animals will not just receive a toy, during one of the toughest times in their lives, they will receive the knowledge that they are loved, special, and worthy. That is the real goal.”
