Lady Marshals 11-3 at halfway point of the season

Kenzlee Terry was selected Lady Marshals Most Valuable Player for her play in their game on Saturday against Page High School from Franklin, Tenn.

Marshall County played a home game against Mayfield on Thursday, Jan. 2 and the Lady Marshals picked up a 44-24 win. Skylar Waller led in scoring with 14 points and Eden Sandlin finished with 10. Lay Mayes had 15 of the Lady Cardinals points.

The Lady Marshals hit seven three-pointers in the win led by Waller with three, Sandlin and Kenzlee Terry dropped in two each. They were 13-of-21 at the free throw line and had 27 rebounds, led by Addi Wall with seven.

The Lady Marshals traveled to Bethel University in McKenzie, Tenn. to play Page High School from Franklin, Tenn. Page handed the Lady Marshals their third loss of the season by a final score of 67-53.

Kenzlee Terry was selected Most Valuable Player for the Lady Marshals. Terry led with 18 points, hit three three-pointers and was 5-of-6 at the free throw line.

Up next is a district game on Tuesday at Christian Fellowship.
