Mr. Earl A. Cathey, 60, of Benton, KY, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 14, 2024.
Earl was born on March 21, 1964 in Detroit, MI, the son of William and Eileen Cathey. He attended Fowlerville High School in Michigan. In his younger days he loved to horse back ride. Between work and pleasure he has traveled the United States. Earl loved being with his family and friends. He loved to camp in the upper peninsula of Michigan. His passion was trail riding on side by sides and was always smooth on his feet on the dance floor, always sporting his cowboy boots and hat. Earl recently recaptured his passion for deer hunting as well.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents.
Earl is survived by his wife, Barbara Cathey of Hardin, KY; his parents, William and Eileen Cathey of Benton, KY; sister, Tina (Maury) Lambertson; three sons, Joel Cathey, Branden (Dominique) Cathey, Joshua Farrar; step children, Blake (LaShae) Petty, Stephanie (Tim) Forrer and Ryan (Nikki) Gann; three grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; two nephews, Tyler and Jacob Tomlin.
Mr. Cathey will be laid to rest at Hardin Baptist Cemetery and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
