Sadie Gattis, 90 of Benton, KY passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Born Wednesday, January 17, 1934 in Dexter, KY, she was the daughter of the late Joe Lee Pritchett and the late Lovie Lois (Sills) Pritchett.
Sadie was a foreman for Florsheim Shoe Company and later was a cook at Jonathan Elementary School. She was a longtime supporter of Marcella’s Kitchen and often volunteered there. She was a member of Fairdealing Church of Christ.
She is survived by her step sons, David Gattis of Mayfield, KY, Jack Gattis, Jr. wife Mechelle of Benton, KY; step daughter, Karen Gattis Anderson husband Barry of Benton, KY; sister in law, Gaynelle Pritchett of Dexter, KY; brothers in law, Ben Gattis wife Evelyn of Fayetteville, TN, Melvin Gattis wife Mary Ann of Howell, TN; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren with 2 expected in the near future; 2 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ovie Miller, Jr.; second husband, Jack Gattis, Sr.; brothers, Harold Pritchett, Billy Pritchett, Joe Pritchett, Jimmy Pritchett, Sidney Pritchett; and two sisters, Hilda Duncan and Mary Griggs.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home, located at 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025 with Mark Morris officiating.
Interment will follow in Dunn Cemetery, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Collier Funeral Home.
