Ruby Riddle, a beloved servant of Christ and cherished member of her family and community, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 30, 2024, at the age of 83 surrounded by her loving family.

Ruby’s life was a testament to her unwavering faith and dedication to the Lord. She found her greatest joy in her relationship with Jesus, which guided every step of her journey and now she is reunited in Heaven with those who went before her, celebrating in the eternal joy she so faithfully awaited. She was a dedicated and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother that was married to her husband, Bobby Riddle for 68 years. Her love for her family was boundless, she poured her heart into caring for them always putting them first before herself and providing tough love advice when needed with everyone’s best interest at heart. Her support and care to ensure the happiness and success of everyone she loved was at the core of her heart and soul.

Ruby had a passion for cultivating beauty in all things. Her garden was a masterpiece, filled with vibrant flowers that reflected the joy and color she brought to the lives of others. She took great pride in maintaining a spotless home, believing that her attention to detail was a reflection of her care and gratitude for the blessings in her life. She loved spending time with friends such as playing bridge and derby party get-togethers. She loved watching her children and grandchildren play sports or activities and very rarely missed a game or event. She worked in retail clothing and had a gift for fashion and interior design which translated into ensuring her family and home always looked their best.

To those who knew her, Ruby was a source of wisdom, kindness, and grace. She will be remembered for her warm smile, her tender heart, and her tireless efforts to make the world around her a more beautiful place.

Ruby is survived by her husband of 68 years, Bobby E. Riddle; one daughter, Lynn (Mike) Moss, one son, Chris (Trinda) Riddle all of Paducah; one sister, Linnie King, Clinton County, Kentucky; one brother, Danny (Charlotte Ann) Cash, Burkesville, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Hunter (Jenna) Moss, Zachary Riddle, Madison Riddle, Mallorie (Cole) Devilbiss, Zachary Colvin and Nicholas (Julie) Colvin; five great-grandchildren, Porter Jane Moss, Shepard Moss, Miles Devilbiss, Sadie Ryan Colvin and Abel Colvin; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding in death were her parents, Virgil Pharis and Vinnie Cash Pharis; one sister, Vicie Cook; three brothers, Arvy Pharis, Ralph Pharis, and James Pharis.

A celebration of Ruby’s life will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah,120 Memorial Drive Paducah, KY 42001. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. followed by her service from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
