Roberts receives All-State First Team honors, Stokes earns All-State Second Team

Katie Roberts earned a selection to the KGCA Girls All-State First Team and Ryan Stokes was named to the Boys All-State Second Team.

Marshall County golfer Katie Roberts earned First Team All-State honors. Mr. and Miss Golf and the All-State selections were recognized by the Kentucky Golf Coaches Association at their annual banquet on November 3 at Big Springs Country Club in Louisville.

Katie finished with 1,010 all state points and placed eighth in the KHSAA Girls Golf State Championship.

Charlie Spiller from Lexington Catholic and Athena Singh from Rowan County were named Mr. and Miss Kentucky Golf. Girls Coach of the Year is Mackenzie Moir from Sacred Heart and Boys Coach of the Year is Charlie Spiller from Lexington Catholic.

Marshall County’s Ryan Stokes was named to the Boys All-State Second Team.

Stokes and Roberts along with Marshall County players CeCelia Ray and Skylar Waller were named to the All-Region First Team. Brooks Lamb and Paxton Carter were named to the All-Region Second Team.
