Lee Marvin Trueblood, a man of honor, courage, and unwavering dedication, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2024, in Paducah, Kentucky at the age of 50. He was born on January 31, 1974, in Peru, Indiana, to Marvin Lee and Barbara D. Sparks Trueblood. Lee’s early life in the heartland instilled in him the values of hard work, integrity, and the importance of community.

A proud graduate of Peru High School, Lee’s commitment to service was evident early on. His desire to serve his country led him to a distinguished career in the United States Navy, where he spent four years as a Chief of Naval Research and Cryptologic Technician. Following his time in the Navy, Lee continued serving in the United States Army, joining the prestigious 101st Airborne Division. For 17 years, he dedicated himself to the Army, retiring as a Senior Operations Manager. He also held the respected position of Senior Platoon Sergeant, serving with the 506th and 187th Infantry Regiments. Lee’s military career was marked by his unwavering commitment to his fellow soldiers and to the nation he loved. Lee’s interests outside of his military service were as robust and diverse as his career.

An avid Harley Davidson enthusiast, he cherished the freedom of the open road aboard his beloved 2007 Dyna Street. His passion for the Tennessee Volunteers was unmatched, and he could often be found cheering on his favorite team. A true baseball fan at heart, Lee found joy in the crack of the bat and the thrill of the game.

A man who appreciated precision and discipline, Lee loved guns and shooting, a hobby that allowed him to combine his military expertise with his interests. His organizational skills and neatness were evident in every aspect of his life, from his meticulously maintained motorcycle to his orderly home. Lee’s love for scented candles and his candle warmer added a warm and inviting ambiance to his surroundings, reflecting his attention to detail and his appreciation for the simple pleasures in life.

He is survived by a son, Gavin Lee Trueblood of Paducah; his mother, Barbara D. Sparks Trueblood of Kokomo, IN; his two sisters, Donna Trueblood and Marnie Radtke both of Kokomo, IN.  He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Lee Trueblood.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be at 2:00 PM Friday, November 8, 2024, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY.  Visitation will be from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Lone Oak.
