Traffic stop leads to Felony drug arrest.

On October 12th at 1513 hours, A Deputy with the McCracken county sheriff’s office after a brief period where the operator would not stop his vehicle, made a traffic stop in the back parking lot of Lone Oak first Baptist Church.

The male later identified as Felipe Sanchez Tapia continued to not follow commands given to him to exit the vehicle and stop reaching around.

The Deputy was able to get Tapia to exit the vehicle and take him into custody. After a brief investigation, a small quantity of suspected methamphetamine was located along with drug paraphernalia and an open alcohol container.

Arrested: Felipe Sanchez Tapia, 36 year old of Paducah KY.

 

Charges: Possession of a controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (methamphetamine), Improper signal, Fleeing 1st degree (Motor Vehicle), Driving DUI suspended license 1st, Possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of open alcohol container, violation of conditions of his release.
