
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a deputy clerk with the Graves County Sheriff’s Office serving beside her husband, Sheriff Burl Youngblood for 12 years, a former co-owner and operator of Burl’s Wrecker Service, a founding member of the Mayfield-Graves County Rescue Squad having served as dispatcher and a former employee of Youngblood’s Grocery. She was also an employee of Youngblood’s RV Center, retiring in 2020.
The family would like to thank special friends, Nancy Wells, Linda May, Debbie Sullivan and Mary Dillon.
Mrs. Youngblood is survived by one son, Roger (Tammie) Youngblood of Mayfield, KY; one daughter, Janice Canter of Mayfield, KY; daughter-in-law, Teresa Youngblood of Mayfield, KY; one brother, Tommy Cash of Fancy Farm, KY; three sisters, Martha Pratt of Del City, OK, Sue Cooke of Ocala, FL and Rita (Terry) Storey of Energy, IL; twelve grandchildren, Shawn Gosselin, Amy Youngblood Roach, Chase Youngblood, Dexter Youngblood, Trevor Youngblood, Macy Youngblood Towery, Brad Youngblood, Holly Youngblood Looper, Randy Canter, Barbie Law, Chad Canter and Jody Canter; twenty-nine great grandchildren; and ten great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burl Youngblood; one daughter, Barbara Youngblood; one son, Jerry Youngblood; one granddaughter, Renee Youngblood Henderson; an infant grandson; an infant great grandson; one brother, Lewis Cash; four sisters, Louise Zeh, Jean Harris, Nancy Kramer and Ann Hedden; and her parents, James Otha and Elizabeth Thomas Cash.
A funeral mass for Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Cash Youngblood will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 16, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Eric Riley will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Jerome Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.
