Shelba Dell Barnett, 87, of Hardin, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at her home.
She was born on July 8, 1937, in Coldwater, to the late Dewey and Cotiel Bazzell.
She had many different jobs in her lifetime, but her favorite was being a homemaker and caring for her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Shelba was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Bobbie Barnett, as well as her brother Buddy Joe Bazzell, her sister Linda Newsome, her brother-in-law Delbert Newsome, and her sister-in-law Marilyn Bazzell.
She is survived by son Terry Barnett and wife Lucinda of Cadiz, Kentucky, and daughter Tonia Hainaut and husband Bill of Hardin, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Hannah Perkins and husband Zach, Nikita Hainaut, Jacob Hainaut, and Matthew Counts and wife Jamie; as well as two great-grandchildren, Marcus Counts and Amelia Counts. Also survived by brother Dan Bazzell (Sue) of Coldwater, and brother Ronnie Bazzell (Lagenia) of Murray, and sister-in-law Beverly Bazzell of Canton, Michigan.
There will be no public visitation. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 16 at 11:00 am at the Coldwater Church of Christ Cemetery with John Dale officiating.
