
The 2024 golf season for the Lady Marshals team is in the final push toward the all-important Regional Tournament later this month. They will be playing for their eighth straight regional title.
In their last two tournaments, the Lady Marshals placed first at the Christian County Invitational at Western Hills Golf Course on August 24 and fourth on September 7 at the Bowling Green Invitational.
Katie Roberts shot a 5-under par 67 to finish third and lead the Lady Marshals in the win at Western Hills. With a team score of 289, the won by 15 strokes over South Warren in second. CeCelia Ray shot an even par 72 and finished sixth. Skylar Waller finished at 1-over 73 to place 10th. Brooklyn Cunningham shot 77 and Kelli Roberts 79. Playing as an individual, Charlee Murphy carded an 80.
At Bowling Green last Saturday, the team placed fourth with a score of 335. Sacred Heart took the win with 311. Katie Roberts shot the low round for the Lady Marshals with a 4-over par 76 to finish fourth. One shot back in seventh place was CeCelia Ray with a round of 77. Skylar Waller shot 87, Kelli Roberts 95 and Brooklyn Cunningham 96.
This weekend they will travel to Lexington to play in the KGCA All-State Championship at the UK Club.
