
She was a member of Northside Church of Christ, a charter member of Friendship Homemakers, one of the first members of Graves County Piecemakers and a Bible school teacher. She was also a retired employee of the Consumer Water District.
Mrs. Satterwhite is survived by her husband of 69 years, William B. “Bill” Satterwhite; two sons, Rick (Brenda) Satterwhite of Nicholasville, KY and Ronnie Satterwhite of Mayfield, KY; two daughters, Rita Carrico of Nicholasville, KY and Cindy (Troy) Smoot of Mayfield, KY; five grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one brother, James E. Shelton; two sisters, Elizabeth Hargrove and Linda Sue Shelton; and her parents, Lee Manion and Neva Pearl Guthrie Shelton.
Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Shelton Satterwhite will be 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. John Kachleman will officiate. Entombment will follow at Highland Park Mausoleum.
Visitation will be 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
