Ruby Saffer, age 80, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 3:45 a.m. Friday, August 16. 2024 at Tradewater Nursing and Rehab Center in Dawson Springs, Kentucky. Ruby was born on April 6, 1944, to the late Ernest Tyler and Jettie Mae (Legate) Tyler. Ruby was a cashier at the Five-Star Food Mart and Gas Station for many years.
Survivors include one brother, Earl (Leonna) Tyler; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding in death were her parents, one son, William Brian Saffer; six sisters, Eula Mae Dixon, Clara Mae Johnson, Rosie Lee Tyler, Betty Sue Peeler Reed, Thelma Lucille Lindsey, and Shirley Ruth Tyler; three brothers, James Ernest Tyler, John Henry Tyler, and Howard Eugene Tyler.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Mt. Kenton Cemetery with Rev. Bob Martin officiating. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery, there will be no visitation.
