Mae Goheen York, 88, of Benton, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Calvert City Convalescent Center.
Mae was born in Birmingham, Kentucky on June 16, 1936 to Russell and Roberta Holland Goheen. She was a homemaker and member of Zion’s Cause Baptist Church. Mae enjoyed shopping and working in her garden. She was always happiest when surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Billy York of Benton; four sons, David York, Steve York (Ginger), Mark York, and Phillip York (Jill) all of Benton; one brother, Buster Goheen (Judy) of Benton; one sister, Cindy Darnell (Jimmy) of Benton; six grandchildren; Andrew York (Kody), Austin York (Leah), Rebecca Gatlin (Ben), Jessica Miller, Jacob York, and Isaac York; one granddaughter-in-law, Erica York; and fifteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, John Goheen; one sister, Bobbie Hall; and one grandson, Adam York.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home with Bro. Monte Hodges officiating. Burial will follow at Birmingham Cemetery.
The visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home.
