Leda Irene Caylor, age 75, of Paducah, KY., passed away peacefully in the early morning of August 1, 2024 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Center at Mercy Health Lourdes in Paducah. Leda was born in Kansas City, MO. On July 15, 1949 to Evelyn R. Haney, though she spent her childhood and teenage years in Norwalk, CA. She graduated from high school in 1967 and went on to earn her cosmetology license from a local beauty college. Leda often reminisced about what a wonderful childhood she had! She was kind-hearted and loved being with family and close friends. Leda was artistic and enjoyed drawing and styling hair. In 1966, Leda met her future husband, Keith Caylor while on a family vacation in Kentucky. Leda and Keith were married for 47 years.
Leda is survived by her daughter Gail Caylor of Chama, NM; her son, Michael Caylor (Paola), five grandchildren, William Stockoff of Oregon; Madisson Caylor, Michael Lucas Caylor, Manuel Rivera and Oscar Rivera of Paducah; and her younger sisters Pamela Thompson and Jana Burkhalter, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Leda is preceded in death by her parents, Nat and Evelyn Houston, and her husband, Harold Keith Caylor.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Maxon Christian Church with Tony Estes officiating.
