Lisa Jones, age 62, of Hickory, Kentucky passed away at 2:47 a.m. Sunday, August 4, 2024 at her home.
Lisa was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and a 1980 graduate of Lowes High School where she was a cheerleader. Lisa had a great love for decorating and arranging flowers. Those interest led to her floral business where she owned and operated The Paisley Peacock Florist in Lone Oak for several years. She had a love for dogs, especially miniature schnauzers. Lisa was a wonderful cook and loved to share with her family and friends. The love of everything centered with her family being around her and doing for them. Lisa’s favorite color was red, and she reminded Jeff many times she would look good in a red convertible.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Jeffrey N Jones; one daughter, Kayla (Mark) Brown of Nicholasville, Kentucky; two sons, Jared Neil Jones (Heather Day and her children, Jade and Grace Tucker) of Hickory, Kentucky and Erick Austin Jones (Alyssa Rahr) of Laramie, Wyoming; two sisters, Tina (Jeff) Skaggs, Mayfield, Kentucky and Sandra (Luther) Gourley, Melber, Kentucky; one brother, Rick (Anne Newberry) Nance, Murray, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Rylee Brown, Zander Brown, Gavin Jones and Ella Jones; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death were her parents, James Willard Nance and Margie Bell Garnett Nance.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Southerland officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Folsomdale, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
