Jack “Papa Jack” McClusky, 85 of Gilbertsville, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at his residence.
Jack was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 22, 1939 to the late Eugene McClusky and Winifred Ligue McClusky. He proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he started McClusky Concrete Construction, Inc. Jack enjoyed boating on the lake, fishing and riding around with his beloved dog, Chance.
He is survived by his significant other of 33 years, Gayle Taraba; four sons, Jack McClusky of Gilbertsville, KY, Mark McClusky of Joliet, IL, Darren McClusky (Laura) of Batavia, IL and Justin Taraba of Paducah, KY; one brother, Edward John McClusky (Vickie) of Lockport, IL; two grandchildren, Riley Badertscher (Chad) and Kelly McClusky (Andrew Shipman); and one great-grandchild, Lainee Lynn Badertscher.
He was preceded in death by his two daughters, Kelly McClusky and Laura McClusky; three sisters, Jeannie Oswald, Joan Busse and Patsy Fleck; his former spouse, Patricia Valck McClusky and his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Greenwell officiating. Military Rites for Mr. McClusky will be conducted prior to the service.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, Kentucky.
