
Steven John Baker, 70, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.
Steven was born on September 6, 1953, in Calhoun, Georgia, to the late John H. Baker and Jamae Davis Baker. He was of the Baptist Faith and worked as a self-employed carpenter who spent many years building and remodeling homes. In his spare time, he would even use his carpentry skills to build furniture. Steven had a great passion for music. He enjoyed singing, playing his guitar, recording music, and writing songs. Steven also enjoyed spending time tending to his vegetable garden.
He is survived by his fiance and Christian life partner, Deborah Driskill Flood of Benton, Kentucky; one sister, Carol Causey (Robert) of Winston, Georgia; his nephew, Chad Causey of Winston, Georgia; two stepsons, Mathew Flood and Andy Flood; and one step-granddaughter, Mary Flood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John H. Baker and Jamae Davis Baker.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Benton Cemetery.
