PADUCAH, Ky. (July 9, 2024)  Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) crews across the 12 counties of District 1 are making rounds to check for roadway flooding.

With widespread rainfall during the overnight hours and bands of rain from the remnants of Hurricane Beryl expected to continue through the day, it is likely water will become an issue at additional locations.

We have the following list for this hour:

Fulton County
KY 94 has Water Over Road signs posted at the 23-26mm in Willingham Bottom between KY 1907 and KY 1125

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Flash Flood Watch for the region into Wednesday.  While heavier rainfall is expected along Kentucky’s Mississippi River and Ohio River border counties, thunderstorms could create localized flash flooding in about any county in the region through Wednesday.

Please be aware of localized weather conditions as rain is expected to continue tonight and into Wednesday.  For more info go to www.weather.gov/PAH.

This list will be updated as additional reports come in.
