Charlene Landrum Lipscomb, 91, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at her residence on June 27, 2024.
Charlene was born on July 11, 1932, in Stewart County, Tennessee, to the late Adam Miles and Grace Lee Boyd Adams. She was a member of Heartland Church and worked as a sales representative for Sysco. Charlene’s deep love for reading her Bible daily was a testament to her unwavering faith. She was a gifted storyteller, whose tales brought joy and laughter to her family and friends, and was the “undisputed” best banana pudding maker. Charlene displayed a servant’s heart and was a great encourager to others as her servant’s heart shone brightly through her dedication to raising her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren instilling in them the values of kindness and compassion. She will be profoundly missed and forever cherished.
Charlene is survived by her husband, William Lipscomb, of Tennessee Ridge, Tennessee; two daughters, Barbara Wikoff (Roy) and Dianna Reed, both of Paducah, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Shawn Sams (Richard) of Calhoun, Kentucky, Tracey Witt (David) of Paducah, Kentucky, Chris Hayden (Megan) of Lexington, Kentucky, and Jon Hayden (Stacey) of Paducah, Kentucky; nine great-grandchildren, Allyson Cooper (Will), Haley Sams, John William Sams, Hope Doughty (John), Lauren Southern (Tanner), Jordan Jarboe (Austin), Isabelle Hayden, Christian Hayden, and Scarlett Hayden; and six great-great-grandchildren, Kamryn Southern, Korbin Southern, Keeleigh Southern, Ava Doughty, Mia Cooper, and Oliver Jarboe.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Wilson “Willie” Landrum; ten brothers and sisters; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Richard Sams officiating. Burial will follow at Brook Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until the service time of 2:00 P.M. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
