Janet Allen, 78 of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky.
Janet was born in St. Louis, Missouri on January 18, 1946 to the late Walter Bowers and Lorna Jean Gideon Bowers.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeannie Morgan (Mike) of Paducah, KY; son, Doug Allen (Michele) of Benton, KY; one brother, Larry Bowers of St. Louis, MO; two sisters, Marilynn Gay Bowers-Witesell of Bowling Green, KY and Kathleen Strattman of Cahokia, IL; five grandchildren, Evan Allen (Mary), Eric Allen, William Allen Englert, Kirsten Allen, Glenn Allen; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Alvin “Al” Allen; one brother, Thomas Bowers; one sister, Lorilee “Aunt Boo Boo” Barber and her parents.
A funeral service will be at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home with Rev. Ryan Overby officiating. Interment will follow at the Marshall County Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, Kentucky.
