Mrs. Anne Carol Wells, 78, of Murray, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Anne was born to the late Lloyd Pence and Carol Flood Pence on July 30, 1945 in Moline, Illinois. She grew up in Kirkwood, Illinois and graduated from Yorkwood High School in 1963. She then attended Western Illinois University. Anne and her late husband, Mr. Bill Wells, moved to Murray in 1982 when Mr. Wells was named principal at Murray High School. Anne worked at the Waterfield Library at Murray State from 1986-2013, when she retired.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Bill Wells; siblings, Charlotte Rogers, Karen Pence, David Pence and Myra Lancaster, in addition to her parents.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Adam Wells and Shannon Wells, both of Louisville, KY; siblings, Steve Pence, Dan Pence, Maida Pence and Claire Pence.
