Mr. James E. “Jimmy” Dowdy, age 71, of Mayfield passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 in Mayfield, KY.
He was of the Baptist faith and a retired employee of FedEx in Nashville, TN.
Mr. Dowdy is survived by one son, James Thomas (Shawntel) Dowdy of Mayfield, KY; two brothers, David Dowdy of Sedalia, KY and Terry Dowdy of Paducah, KY; one sister, Charlotte Osborne of Paducah, KY; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Elbert Dowdy, Jr.; his father, Charles Dowdy; and his mother, Sue Cope Spraggs.
Graveside services for Mr. James E. “Jimmy” Dowdy will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at North Mt. Zion Cemetery. Rev. Glenn Cope will officiate. Interment will follow.
There is no visitation scheduled. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
