Mrs. Agnes I. McClain, 84, of Murray, KY, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Passion and Purpose Homecare in Murray.
Agnes was born April 4, 1940, in Calloway County, KY, to the late Victor Williams and Alpha (Jones) Williams. She was self-employed as a childcare provider and was lovingly called Memaw by all the children she cared for over the years. Agnes was a member of Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Murray, KY.
Those left behind to cherish memories of Agnes are her husband Charles L. McClain, to whom she was married on August 10, 1996; children, Michael (Jessica) McCallum, and Gina (Larry) Jones, both of Murray; grandchildren, Derek (Kassa) McCallum of Kansas City, MO, Amber (James) Stubblefield of Paducah, Ashley Jones, Madison McCallum, Britney Jones, Mason McCallum, Ashton McCallum, Myla McCallum, and Kinsley McCallum, all of Murray; great grandchildren, Luke and Matthew McCallum of Kansas City, MO, and Cora and Ava Stubblefield of Paducah.
Also surviving are stepchildren, Linda (Gene) Young of Chester, IL, Daryl (Paula) McClain of Murray; Melanie (John) Nix of Almo, and Brad McClain of Nashville, TN; nine step grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Agnes was preceded in death by sons, Greg McCallum and Alan McCallum; and siblings Opal Walters, Hilda Dick, Rudy Williams, Roy Williams, and James Williams.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home, with Bro. Gary Vacca and Derek McCallum officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Brooks Chapel Cemetery, Dexter, KY.
Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home, 713 South 4th St. Murray, KY 42071.
