
Francis “Frank” Berry Wade, 86, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024, at Lakeway Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Frank was born in Marshall County on March 8, 1938, to the late Floyd “Shine” Wade and Marian “Teet” Wade. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and proudly served on the SS Turner Joy. Frank had a huge passion for cars, he was a faithful Dodge man and spent many years working for Daimler-Chrysler before retiring. His love for automobiles went far beyond his work. He was an avid NASCAR fan, that also enjoyed being behind the wheel competing in Dirt Track Racing, and spending his spare time working on restoring his 1938 Chevrolet truck.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Catherine “Kitty” Wade; two step-daughters, Shawna Elder and Kim Elder Spencer; one sister, Lena Aldridge; and one brother, Eldon B. Wade.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Katie Conder and Marian L. Wade; two brothers, James Leslie “JL” Wade and Robert Wade; one infant brother, Billy Wade; and his parents, Floyd Berry “Shine” Wade and Marian Amelia “Teet” Wade.
