Barbara West, 85 of Calvert City, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at her home.
Born Wednesday, June 22, 1938 in Benton, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Murphy Hamlet and the late Bessie Salyers Hamlet. She was a retired Teacher’s Aide in the Marshall County School System. She was a faithful member of New Harmony Missionary Baptist Church. Barbara was a wonderful, caring, and loving mother.
Surviving are son, James David Mullinax of Calvert City, KY; daughter, Paula Mullinax of Calvert City, KY; brother, Johnny Hamlet of Benton, KY; and stepson Robert West.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband James Mullinax, 2nd husband Arnold West; brother, Edward Hamlet; and sister, Mary Alice Prince.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Collier Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Scott Penick officiating.
Burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Benton, KY.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Collier Funeral Home located at 211 West 5th Street Benton, KY 42025.
