He was pastor at Rhodes Chapel Baptist Church, former owner / operator of Hill’s Bar-B-Que and a retired bus driver with Mayfield Independent School System.
Mr. Hill is survived by his wife of 47 years, Christy Lee Morris Hill; one son, Gregory Jace (Jamie Lynne) Hill of Mayfield, KY; one daughter, Allison Hill (James) Whiteley of Mayfield, KY; four sisters, Susan Hill Brantley of Morganfield, KY, Molly Hill (Jerry) Ford of Fairview, TN, Mary Hill (Chris) Hayden of Sikeston, MO and Melissa Hill (Tommy) Armstrong of Mayfield, KY; eight grandchildren, Landann Brown, Jax Hill, Jude Hill, Brayden Cherry, Mela Cherry, Kenton Whiteley, Blake Whiteley and Mallie Whiteley; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Hill and Sara Sue Story Pearcy.
Funeral services for Mr. Gregory Ray Hill will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Rick Reeder and Rev. Keith Allred will officiate. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at the funeral home.
