Billy J Hawkins, age 91, of Mayfield, KY passed away Sunday April 28, 2024 at the Baptist Health Paducah Hospital.He was a retired employee from the Clinton IGA and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Faith. Billy served in the Air Force during the Korean War.He is survived by his wife of 68 years Beulah (McKinney) Hawkins; one son, Timothy Hawkins of Murray, KY; one daughter, Carolyn Ann Deal of Franklin, TN; one brother, Donald Wayne Hawkins of Wingo, KY; two sisters, Peggy Alexander of Pryorsburg, KY and Patsy Jackson of Mayfield, KY; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one great great grandchild also survives.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Hughes; one grandchild, Stephanie Hall; one brother, Jack Hawkins; seven sisters, Jo Ann Roberts, Maydelle Hicks, Reva Sims, Lorene Brown, Helen Drake, Pauline Jackson, and Jettie Mae Goatley; his parents were Roscoe and Roxie Rodgers Hawkins.

A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 PM Thursday May 2, 2024 at the Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Ronnie Stinson, Sr. will officiate. Interment will follow in the Maplewood Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #26. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Thursday May 2, 2024 at the Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.
