
Mr. Cooper was a Veteran of the Air Force during the Korean War, a retired Baptist Minister, a Machinist at VMV Railroad Shop in Paducah and a member of Rosebower Baptist Church in Paducah.
He is survived by his wife, Mahaska (Ivy) Hughes Cooper of Paducah; one son, Jerry (Betty) Cooper of Hickory, KY; one daughter, Beverly (Paul) Evans of Paducah; two step daughters, Brenda (Ricky) Allcock of Paducah, Pam (Bud) Russell of Wickliffe; two step sons, Rick (Crysta) Hughes of Paducah, Bobby (Tina) Hughes of Calvert City; two sisters, Jan Yancey of Paducah, Norma Lou Gill of Ballard County; four grandchildren, Christina Walker, Shelly Gardner, Heather Evans, Jessica Willis; four great grandchildren, Zach Walker, Natalie Gardner, Kiley Walker, Trever Howle; several step grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty J. Cooper; son, Michael Cooper; parents, Charles Roy Cooper and Sarah Dallice Cooper; one brother, Jimmy Cooper; four stepchildren, Larry Hughes, Randy Hughes, Marilyn Reed, Nancy Gross.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 19. 2024 at Hughes Funeral Home in Paducah with Rev. Bud Russell officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Paducah.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
