Single Vehicle Injury Collision in Graves County

On April 6, 2024 at approximately 10:33 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of KY-1124 and KY 564 for a panic alarm that was activated from an individual in his vehicle. Deputy Austin Caldwell was able to reach the individual by phone while enroute to check the welfare of the individual. It was found the individual had a collision and might be entrapped inside his vehicle with possible injuries.
Todd Lister, 53, of Mayfield, KY was traveling eastbound on KY-1124 when his vehicle left the roadway and traveled into a ditch coming to final rest on the driver’s side of the vehicle.
Deputies arrived on scene to find the vehicle laying on its side in a ditch that was 5-6 feet deep with the driver trapped inside and unable to move. Deputy Garret Clark and Deputy Austin Caldwell managed to make contact with the operator to check his welfare status while Mayfield/Graves County EMS, the Mayfield Fire Department and Mayfield/Graves County Rescue Squad were enroute. The operator was successfully removed by Deputy Garret Clark and the Mayfield Fire Department and Mayfield / Graves County Rescue Squad.
Lister was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center where he was treated for minor injuries.
Deputy Austin Caldwell investigated this collision and was assisted by Deputy Garret Clark, Mayfield/Graves County EMS, Mayfield/Graves County Rescue Squad and the Mayfield Fire Department.
