
Dorothy Ann Beasley, age 92, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Dorothy was born in DuBois, Pennsylvania on March 11, 1932, to the late Henry and Mary Vetz Boyarski. Dorothy was of the Catholic faith. Dorothy’s commitment to her community was exemplified through her service at Bright’s Ladies clothing store, where she retired after 21 years. Her devotion to quality and exceptional customer service left a lasting impression on both her colleagues and customers. Before Bright’s, she was an integral part of Claussner’s Hosiery mill for 21 years, showcasing her work ethic and attention to detail. Her proudest achievement was her 51-year marriage to her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Kenneth. Who she had lost to cancer in 1999. She will be dearly missed by her friends and those she loved as family.
Mrs. Beasley is survived by a very special group of people, who considered her a “special mom”, Joanie Watson of Boaz, Kentucky, Marcia Heffelfinger (Clyde) of Ft. Pierce, Florida, and Skip Lack of Boaz, Kentucky;
She was a special Grandma “Boppy” to Christopher Hook of Paducah, Kentucky, and Jason Hook (Sarah) of Louisville, Kentucky; she also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; as well as several dedicated neighbors who watched over her after her husband’s death; and a great staff at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center that took care of her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Kenneth Ray Beasley; Beverly (Craig) Hook; and her parents.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Brad Whistle officiating.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
