
LYON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MEDIA RELEASE
- On Thursday, March 7, 2024, Deputies with the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office served a Lyon County Criminal Complaint on Bradley P. Giltz (43) of Marion. Giltz is accused of violating a Domestic Violence Order (DVO) while at a church in Lyon County around July 30, 2023. Giltz will face an arraignment in Lyon District Court on March 27, 2024. The case was investigated by Deputy David Carroll.
- On Monday, March 18, 2024, around 6:26pm, Deputy David Carroll arrested Phillip C. Williams (32) at Ken Oak Apartments in Eddyville. Williams was the subject of three (3) Marshall County bench warrants, all for Probation Violations. He was lodged in the Marshall County Jail.
- On Monday, March 18, 2024, around 7:48 pm, Deputy David Carroll responded to a single vehicle collision on US 62 in Kuttawa. The investigation revealed a 2007 Toyota Camry, driven by Patricia Peek (56) of Kuttawa, was West bound when a deer entered her path causing a collision. The vehicle remained in service and there were no injuries reported.
- On Tuesday, March 19, 2024, around 7:56pm, Deputy Josh Travis charged Christopher P. Leggette (37) of Timmonsville, SC on a Lyon Circuit Court bench warrant for Failure to Appear. Leggette was originally indicted by a Lyon County Grand Jury for Trafficking in Marijuana (8 oz.- 5lbs.); however, he failed to appear in court multiple times for arraignment which led to the bench warrant and his subsequent extradition back to Kentucky from Effingham, SC on this date. Leggette was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
- Beginning on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, and continuing through March 21, 2024 Deputies served criminal complaints on the following persons after the school district filed complaints with the Court charging each with Parent or Custodian to Send Child to School-1st or 2nd Offense. They were each summoned to Lyon District Court:

- On Wednesday, March 20, 2024, around 12:09pm, Chief Deputy Sam Adams responded to a two-vehicle-collision at Huck’s Travel Center. The investigation revealed a 2006 Dodge Caravan driven by Patricia Ross (62) of Grand Rivers was backing in the parking lot, when she collided with a parked and unoccupied 2019 Toyota Camry, owned by Rob Richey (59) of Murray. There were no injuries in the collision and both vehicles remained in service.
- On Thursday, March 21, 2024, around 9:20am, Chief Deputy Sam Adams charged Lee A. Adams (31) of Kuttawa on a Contempt of Court bench warrant from Lyon District Court. Adams was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
- On Friday, March 22, 2024, around 11am, Chief Deputy Sam Adams served a Breckinridge Circuit Court indictment warrant on James D. Martin (51) of Calhoun charging him with Theft by Deception-$1,000 to less than $10,000 in value. Martin is in state custody pending extradition back to Breckinridge County.
- On Sunday, March 24, 2024, around 7pm, Deputy David Carroll and Deputy Josh Travis responded to a single vehicle collision on KY 93 South near Friendship Road. The investigation revealed Andrew Spurlin (19) of Eddyville was North bound on KY 93 South when he lost control of his 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer before leaving the roadway and colliding with a road sign and ditch/embankment. No injuries were reported in the collision.
