Maudene Powell, age 92, of Benton, KY, died Monday, March 11, 2024, at Mercy Health – Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY. Mrs. Powell was a member of New Zion Baptist Church and was retired as a H&R Block Franchise owner.
She was preceded in death by her father: Anthony Ham, husband: Alton Powell; and son: Terry Powell.
She is survived by two daughters: Joyce Hill (Mitch), Benton, KY, and Linda Thompson, Benton, KY; two sons: Freddy Powell of Benton, KY and Donald Powell (Angela) of Benton, KY; 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Thursday, March 14, 2024. Funeral service will be at Collier Funeral Chapel at 1:00 PM, Thursday, March 14, 2024, with Rev. C.C. Brasher officiating. Interment will be at New Zion Cemetery, Benton, KY.
