Paul D. Jones, 81 of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Marshall County Hospital E.R. in Benton, Kentucky.
Paul was born in Benton, Kentucky on July 22, 1942 to the late John Jones and Metta Ross Jones. He graduated from South Marshall High School and attended Murray State University. Paul worked as a pipefitter and welder at Arkema. He was a member of Benton Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Copeland Jones; son, Christopher Jones of Benton; daughter, Carrie Howell (Bryan) of Santa Fe, New Mexico; and one grandson, Zane Jones.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathlyn Whetsell; brother-in-law, Gerald Whetsell and his parents.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home with Mark Ray officiating. Interment will follow at Benton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, Kentucky.
