Jimmy Ray Reed, 76 of Hardin, Kentucky died on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Kentucky.
Born Thursday, June 26, 1947 in Graves County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Clyde Reed and the late Jessie Filbeck Reed. Jimmy retired from Air Products in the maintenance department after 41 years of service. He loved being outdoors and was an avid fisherman. Jimmy had an infectious smile and loved his family dearly.
Surviving are daughters, Pamela Griffith husband Tony of Benton, KY and Paula Burdett husband Jimmie of Benton, KY, special friend, Heidi Teckenbrock of Benton, KY, grandchildren, Jourdan, Ryan, Travis, Kody, Sami, and Trace, and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Billy Reed, Bobby Reed and Jerry Reed, and sisters, Donnia Castleberry and Barbara Clark.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Collier Funeral Home Chapel with Wesley Reed officiating.
Burial will follow at Soldier Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Collier Funeral Home located at 211 W 5th Street Benton, KY 42025.
The family has requested donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude PL Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
