Betty Jane Basham, 91, of Benton, formerly of Romeoville, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at her son’s house.
She graduated from Matoaka High School in Matoaka, West Virginia and was a retired accountant. Betty loved working in her yard with flowers.
Surviving is her son, Ben (Sherrie) Basham of Benton; three grandchildren, Becky Holmstedt, Jessica Phelps, Ben Daniel Basham II; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Otis Basham; two children, Steve Basham and Donna Jean Basham; her parents, Robert Clifton Howard and Vernie Alice Bishop; and six siblings.
Private family services will be held.
