Calvert City, KY (February 26, 2024) – On February 19, 2024 the Calvert City Police Department responded to the Love’s Travel Stop in reference to a shoplifting complaint. The manager gave a description of the subject and advised that he had left the store and walked towards the Speedway/Subway area. Responding officers were familiar with the subject and located him near the AmeriVu Inn. The subject admitted to taking a Cherry Coke and a Jack Links beef stick for a total value of $6.48. While speaking with the subject, it was also determined that he was under the influence of an unknown drug or narcotic. Nicholas W. Ramage, 25, of 2184 US 62, #357, Calvert City was arrested for theft by unlawful taking/shoplifting and public intoxication – controlled substances (excludes alcohol).
