Jeffery “Jeff” G. Thompson, 64 of Mayfield passed away at 2:45 PM Saturday at Baptist Health Paducah.
Jeff worked for over 25 years at Superior Fireplace Company in Union City, TN. He worked over 10 years as the Auto parts manager at Advance Auto before retiring from World Tower Company. Jeff was a “Hot Rod” Enthuasist and loved spending time in his garage where he had rebuilt and restored a 1947 Chevy Coupe. He also enjoyed making car part trophies for car shows and working on car models. But his greatest love was his grandchildren and family.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susan Thompson of Mayfield, KY; his three daughters, Christy (Trey) Williams of Mayfield, KY, Michelle (Dustin) Joiner of Mayfield, KY and Nicole (Joey) Schmidt of Mayfield, Ky; his six grandchildren, Kaden Williams, Audrey Williams, Emma Joiner, Zoie Joiner, Molly Simmons & Brady Schmidt along with a brother, Roger Thompson of Round Lake, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, BW & Fannie Thompson; one sister, Pam Thompson; two brothers, Warren Thompson & Wayne Lyles.
