James Willis Noles, 81, of Benton, passed away Friday, February 16, 2024 at Mercy Health- Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
James was born in Benton on February 28, 1942 to Weldon Noles and Garnetta Mabry Noles. He was of the Methodist faith. James worked as a chemical operator at the former Penwalt plant. He was a member of IAM District 154. James was a member of the Briensburg-TL Jefferson Masonic Lodge #401 for 55 years. He was avid pool player. In his free time, you could find him at the pool hall where he spent many days. James was also a member of Marshall County Elks, Paducah Moose Lodge, and Paducah Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He is survived by two daughters, Susan Green (Mike) of Benton and Jayna Wade of Benton; one sister, Jeanette Darnall (Larry) of Benton; a brother-in-law, Jim Phillips (Carol Ann); a sister-in-law, Betty Crowley (Larry); four grandchildren, Mabry Green, Willis Green, Briar Green, and Grant Casey Graham; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
James was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Martha Sue Phillips Noles; his parents; and one sister, Melinda Sue Noles.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Daryl Thorn officiating. Burial will follow at New Harmony Cemetery.
The visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home. Masonic Rites will be held at 7:00 PM Monday evening. Elks Rites will be held on Tuesday before the funeral service.
