On the morning of Monday, February 5, 2024, several law enforcement agencies, including deputies from the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, responded to a home on Foster Street in Mayfield. Law enforcement received information that Jeremiah Lamonte Davis, 19 of Dyersburg, TN, was located at an address in that area. Davis was wanted out of Dyersburg, TN for First Degree Murder.
As law enforcement surrounded the home, Davis broke out a window and attempted to flee on foot through neighboring yards. After a brief foot chase, Davis was apprehended by a canine from the United States Marshal’s Service. Davis was arrested and, after medical clearance, he was transported to the Graves County RC Center where he was later transported to an out of county jail facility. Davis is awaiting extradition back to Dyer County, Tennessee where he will be charged with First Degree Murder.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Mayfield Police Department, the Kentucky State Police, the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marshal’s Service and Mayfield / Graves County EMS.
