Oscar Alfredo Cortez, 70 of Paducah passed away at 8:47 AM, Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Stonecreek Health & Rehabilitation in Paducah.
Oscar was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala on June 17, 1953 to the late Rodolfo Cortez & Maria Geronima-Morataya Cortez. He was of the Jehovah’s Witnesses and was a retired electronic engineer in the computer field. He loved music, dancing, singing and playing guitar. He enjoyed art, drawing and painting. He spent time playing chess, traveling and had a big sense of humor and always was telling jokes.
He is survived by his daughter, Ingrid (Chris) Ferrall of Paducah, KY; four sisters, Sandra Cortez, Romy Cortez, Grissette Cortez and Carmen Cortez; one brother, Rudy Cortez; three grandchildren, April Cortez, Jonathan Cortez and Aiden Cortez along with several nieces & nephews.
