Drug Arrest after traffic stop in Calloway County

On January 29th, 2024, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of North 12th St and Huck’s gas station for traffic violations. During the course of the traffic stop a search was conducted of the vehicle, Deputies located approximately 532g (1.17 pounds) of Crystal Methamphetamine, suspected MDMA (Ecstasy), digital scales, and other items indicative of narcotics trafficking. An occupant of the vehicle, Joseph W. Morgan, was observed attempting to destroy or hide methamphetamine when exiting the vehicle.
Records indicate Morgan has a criminal history involving illegal drugs and tampering with physical evidence. He is currently out on bond from a recent arrest in McCracken County for Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 2nd offense (Methamphetamine), Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Handgun by a Convicted Felon.
Morgan was placed under arrested and transported to the Calloway County Detention Center where he was lodged.
