Tom Montgomery, age 91, of Paducah, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024 at his residence. Tom was born on April 2, 1932 to Albert & Fannie Thomas Montgomery.
Tom was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. He was retired from Illinois Central Railroad where worked as a carman. Tom hobbies included camping, fishing, boating and traveling. Tom’s retirement years was spent gardening in the summer.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Carol Janet Herndon Montgomery; two sons, Steve (Connie) Montgomery, Lexington, KY and Steve Montgomery, Wiggins, MS; four grandchildren, Chad (Mary) Montgomery, Ashley (David) Johnson, Kelly Montgomery and Sean (Jennifer) Johnson; four great-grandchildren, Trent Johnson, Addison Johnson, Carter Johnson and Miles Shelton; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death was his parents; one daughter, Carol Denise Bouldin; one son, Mark Montgomery; daughter-in-law, Julie Buchanan Montgomery; two sisters, Frances Leeds and Betty Montgomery; one brother, Bill Montgomery.
Private graveside services will be held at Mt. Carmel Cemetery with Rev. Brad Whistle officiating.
