Four Arrested Following Traffic Stop

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office arrested four people for drug related offenses following a traffic stop on Wednesday.

On 01/17/2024 just after 2pm detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle on Lone Oak Road near I-24 for traffic infractions. Deputies determined that the driver of the vehicle, 36-year-old Warren Brown, was under the influence of illegal drugs.

Three passengers, 31-year-old Kelly Johnson, 38-year-old Matthew Lawson, and 30-year-old Jame Mitchell were also arrested for drug possession after a search of the vehicle revealed quantities of Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Johnson also had an outstanding McCracken County arrest warrant.

All four individuals were lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Arrested: Warren T. Brown III, 36, of N 4th Street (Paducah)

 

Charges: No registration plates and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alc/drugs 1st offense

Arrested: Kelly M. Johnson, 31, of Grogan Circle (McCracken County)

Charges: Possession of Methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and an outstanding bench warrant for contempt of court

Arrested: James A. Mitchell, 30, of Calvert City, KY

Charges: Possession of Marijuana, possession of Methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia

Arrested: Matthew J. Lawson, 38, of Marion, KY

Charges: Possession of Methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia
