Mr. Harry A. Sweger, 86, of Almo, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Spring Creek Healthcare.
Mr. Sweger was born in Paw Paw, IL to the late Harry and Irma Cromwell Sweger. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Harry was a crafty man, always working on a toy chest or school desks for his grandchildren, or maybe even a quilt rack for a loved one. As much as he enjoyed making things with his hands, he adored the family and friends that he made them for even more. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ralph Sweger and three sisters, Lila Rinehart, Arlene Herrmann and Doris Voss.
Those left to cherish many wonderful memories include his loving wife of 55 years, Mrs. Shelia Sweger of Almo; his daughter, Brenda Schiaretti (Frank) of Gilbertsville, KY; his son, Brian Sweger (Ashley) of Jacksonville, FL; seven grandchildren, Isabella, Anthony, Dominic, Frank, Marlie, Nathan and Noah and two sisters, Ruth Dalton of Dixon, IL and Patricia Stehl (Robert) of Franklin Grove, IL.
Mr. Sweger will be entombed at Murray Memorial Gardens on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 11 am.
