Lady Marshals soccer player Presley Gallimore signed on Tuesday to continue her athletic and academic career at Centre College in Danville, Ky. The Colonel team plays in the Southern Athletic Conference.
Presley served as a team captain her senior year and was a vital part of the Lady Marshals three district and regional championships. She was selected to the All-District Team, the All-Region First Team and the All-State Second Team this season.
Presley was a lockdown defender her first three seasons but took on a more attacking role this year and led the team in goals and assists. Her speed, athleticism and competitive drive are elite for a high school athlete. She put those skills to use last year while helping the track team win a regional championship and anchored the 4×400 and 4×100 relay teams that finished first in the region.
Presley is a true student athlete, maintaining above a 4.0 grade point average and has been a servant leader for the Lady Marshals throughout her high school career.
“We are excited that Presley will have the opportunity to continue her playing career as a Colonel at Centre College in Danville next fall”, said Coach Michael Boone.
Joining Presley at her signing were members of her family, coaches, the Lady Marshals soccer and track teams and friends.
