On 11/9/2023, Chere Hampton age 49 of Benton KY, was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident, alcohol intoxication, and wanton endangerment 2nd degree. Deputies investigated a vehicle crash on Bee Springs Road. It was discovered that Hampton was the operator of a motor vehicle and had an adult passenger in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Hampton was under the influence and crashed the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. Hampton was located a short time later and arrested for the above charges.
On 11/10/2023, Raymond Ryles age 45 of Benton KY, was arrested and charged with violation of a KY EPO and assault 2nd degree.
On 11/11/2023, Richard Lucas age 31 of Benton KY, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic offenses.
On 11/11/2023, Travis Thorpe age 33 of Benton KY, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, prescription controlled substance not in proper container, possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree and operating a motor vehicle with out ignition interlock device.
On 11/11/2023, Matthew Hurt age 37 of Gilbertsville KY, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol 3rd offense with aggravating circumstances, and other traffic offenses. Hurt was the driver of a vehicle stopped on 641N in Marshall County.
On 11/13/2023, Stacy Clark age 47 of Hardin KY, was arrested and charged with public intoxication (controlled substance) when she was located walking in and out of traffic on Murray Hwy in Marshall County.
On 11/13/2023, Cynthia Peck age 36 of Hardin KY, was arrested and charged with Public intoxication (controlled substance), possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and prescription not in proper container. Peck was located walking in and out of the roadway on Oscar Brown Lane in Marshall County.
On 11/13/2023, Larry Duncan age 52 of Bardwell KY, was arrested on a bench warrant issued out of Logan Co district court for failure to appear. Duncan was also arrested on an indictment warrant issued out of Graves Circuit Court for assault 2nd, assault 4th and persistent felony offender.
On 11/13/2023, Robert Engleman age 72 of Benton KY, was arrested on an indictment warrant issued out of Marshall Circuit Court for the charges of possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor and 8 counts of prohibited use of electronic communication system to procure a minor. Mr. Engleman was also served a second indictment warrant for prohibited use of electronic communication system to procure a minor, distribution of obscene matter to a minor and unlawful transaction with a minor.
