
Lady Marshals softball player Madyson Morton signed on Tuesday to continue her softball and academic career at Dyersburg State Community College in Dyersburg, Tenn. The Lady Eagles play in the National Junior College Athletic Association.
For the past three years, Madyson has been a staple in the Lady Marshals middle infield. She has hit at the top of the order and has been one of the leaders on and off the field. Madyson has been a member of the All-District and All-Region teams. As a six-year member of the Varsity program, Madyson’s hitting average has been .341 with 40 RBIs and 74 runs scored.
Madyson plays with a grit that is unmatched and that is why she is on track to be one of the top in the state in HBP, getting hit 30 times so far in her career. She will do whatever it takes to get on base which makes her invaluable at the top of the lineup.
Madyson led the team last season in On-Base Percentage with .524 and Stolen Bases with 17.

I have watched this young lady play softball since she was eight years old and that is why I am not surprised she has earned this opportunity.”
