Calvert City and Benton Pickleball players didn’t have to travel very far to compete in the 3rd Annual Paddle Up Paducah Pickleball Tournament last weekend. The event was hosted by the Paducah Parks and Recreation Department at the brand-new Noble Park 8-court facility.
There were 68 teams competing for medals. Our players brought home 36 medals – 12 Gold, 14 Silver and 10 Bronze medals. This was a great tournament for our newer players to experience the tournament atmosphere close to home and try for a medal. Seven of our players medaled for the first time in their very first tournament including Noah Cox, Nathan Mee, Eric Long, Robyn Threatt, Shane Cosby, JP Roberts, and Michele Smith. Michele has only been playing since Labor Day.
